The Contributors section is the engine behind Charlatan Magazine—where journalists, thinkers, and practitioners converge to interpret the world. Each voice reflects a different vantage point across politics, law, finance, culture, and global affairs. This is not a newsroom. It is a collective—bound by a shared mandate to question power, connect ideas, and speak truth in a world shaped by influence and consequence.

Angela Gala

A founding member of Tedx Charlotte, Angela Gala joined Charlatan Magazine in 2009 and turned an article into a recurring column: Letters From a Citizen of the World.

Dave Landy

He had a front row seat at the 2008 Financial Crisis. Dave Landy joined Charlatan Magazine to interview House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, and was among the first to uncover Washington’s role in the years leading to the Global Financial Crisis.

Michelle Shail

Her interviews with an Episcopal Bishop, KRG's Agriculture Minister, the Ritz-Carlton founder and World Bank all drew uncanny parallels to grace. Michelle Shail has been a contributor and chum to Charlatan Magazine since 2008.

Matthew Flacks
